Common heater faults for wall furnaces and space heaters
Some of the most common calls we’ve received over the years for heater faults for various brands of wall furnaces and space heaters are:
“My pilot light is always going out”
Which could be a dirty pilot light and the pilot light isn’t strong enough to touch the thermocouple
“I can’t light my pilot light”
This could also be a dirty pilot light or perhaps a faulty thermocouple.
“My heater keeps turning off”
The over-temperature switch has probably turned the unit off due to a faulty fan.
“My TV makes a buzzing noise when the heater fan switches on”
This is usually caused by a faulty temperature fan switch.
