Mildred Valve for hot water systems
The Mildred Valve is an electronic shut off valve for the mains water supply to your hot water system. Designed for internally installed hot water systems, the valve senses water pooling and immediately shuts off the water supply and an alarm alerts the home occupier.
Connection to mains power is not required, as the valve features long-lasting battery operation.
The valve has been designed, engineered and built in Australia (that doesn’t seem to happen much any more!).
So, this is definitely something to consider if you have an internal hot water unit. In the event of a burst hot water system, it will aide in preventing flooding and further damage to your property.
